The concept of triadism and his nature.
The concept of triadism is an idea that has existed since the creation of the Greek religion (given that it is the oldest religion, if we only remember that the Deucalion flood occurred in 11,000 B.C.). It is a concept that has been borrowed by other religions, such as Christianity, several national religions, and more. However, the concept of triadism differs in each religion, and I will explain its meaning from the perspective of national religions, specifically Hellenism (since it is the religion I am most familiar with).
Triadism in Greek religion was observed many times by various philosophers and priests through the observation of nature. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades-Pluto form a triad and each one of them represents three worlds - kingdoms. Zeus represents the heavens, Poseidon the material world, and Hades-Pluto the underworld, that is, the souls that will be reincarnated. These three gods represent the supreme good, and while they are expressions of it, they are not the supreme good itself; they are something distinct. Since the one exists due to the others, they are indeed its creations, but they are not the same as it.
However, triadism has existed for millennia, long before Christianity. Pythagoras even demonstrated the triadism through mathematics. The number three, therefore, is the union of one and two, where one symbolizes passive energy and two symbolizes active energy. We understand how sacred the concept of triadism is and why it has been adopted by so many religions.
